Parking Lot Monitors and Indoor Greeters arrive 7:15am.
-We try to have 2-3 men volunteers outside to visit with those waiting and screen out possible behavior problems.
-If a guest is unruly, notify the group leader.
-Group leader needs as much detail as possible so that he can write an incident report in the case of a formal complaint against the breakfast.
-Families with children should be escorted to the front of the line.
-Wheelchair-bound guests must be let in from the inside by the group leader (or someone else who knows how to get back and forth from the dining room to the elevator). There is an exterior door near the elevator which must be kept locked.
The Snack Table:
The tables by the entry of the dining room is set up with the snacks and plastic bags, usually on Saturday. Please check the refrigerator for yogurt and fresh fruit. There is a sign asking guests to take only one of each kind of snack.
**Greeters are our first impression on the guests! We can prevent disruptive behavior by warmly welcoming our guests. In case of inclement weather we may let guests wait in the parlor until breakfast service begins.
Keep eyes and ears open for disruptive behavior. Gently remind people of the rules: stay in the basement, keep the facility tidy, and be respectful of other people. Let the breakfast leader know about the disruption. We ask guests to leave for profanity, disruptive behavior, fighting, damage to personal property, theft, possession of weapons, drug dealing, and harassment. The group leader will make a report of the incident in case there is a formal complaint against the breakfast.
